My Students
My class is full of diverse learners who are eager to read and begin a new year in stride of things going on around us. Some don't have internet and therefore face struggles of completing school work and some are waiting on hot spots so they can access the internet. Some are engaged on zoom daily and working hard through google classroom. Although facing many obstacles this year, my students are eager to learn and we will work together to meet the needs of them all.
My students are excited about reading this year as we begin a new and "not to novel" remote school year of learning.
My students are eager to read novels together remotely and have classroom discussions on zoom. Many of them don't have a library of books at home, and depend on our class library to enhance their reading.
My Project
This project, Reading Through A Not So Novel Year, will provide a class set of novels for the students in my room. They will each be given a copy of the novel, Where The Mountain Meets The Moon to read while learning remotely from home.
Having a class set of a novel will allow all my students to have a copy and meet on zoom to have small reading break out groups, to have groups discussions about the book and complete a book study while still learning remotely or even when we return to school.
