Reading Support for Language Learners

My Project

During the pandemic, our English Language Learners lost the opportunity to practice their language skills in a face-to-face setting. The lack of direct contact with adults and other children, especially for young readers, created frustration and disinterest. These items will provide concrete examples for students that are both fun and engaging. Working in small groups to regain confidence will support their learning in the classroom. Making reading fun is the goal of this project. By funding this project, you will be supporting over around 50 language learners at Kihei Elementary!
