This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The use of Scholastic Actions magazines in my classroom will enhance several areas of skills needed to become an effective reader. These magazines are especially valuable to struggling readers and those that have reading disabilities. The exciting nonfiction articles that are presented at multiple levels will inspire my students to continue reading. The articles meet the current academic standards for the state of Pennsylvania. The lessons help differentiate instruction to various skill levels across the classroom.

With this subscription to Scholastic Magazine, the class will also have access to related videos and other online materials.
