My Project

Second graders have big imaginations. They are trusting, intuitive, and imaginative. They are smart enough to tell if a text is nonfiction or fiction, yet they allow their minds to imagine scenarios that practical adults may not.

Reading out loud to 2nd graders allows them to imagine and engage with ideas that they may not have encountered before.

This set of books is the 3rd and final group of books that I need to implement the literacy strategies that I have been studying the past 2 years. They are carefully selected with specific skills that each book can help me teach.
