Help me give my students the gift of reading with the opportunity to shop at the Reading Reward store, with snacks, puzzles, and more, upon completion of the selected book.

My Project

My fantastic students are gifted 3rd and 5th graders in a low socioeconomic area of South Central Virginia. I have chosen two reading selections; The Island of Blue Dolphins and Merci Suarez Changes Gears for us to read, discuss, and apply to our lives.

Each week students will earn play money based on their reading assignments to use to shop at the Reading Rewards Store.

Students will budget and spend their funds at the RRS. I am asking for you to support this effort to provide items such as bookmarks, notebooks, puzzles and snacks for them to purchase.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
