My Project

I have an energetic and eager group of fourth graders! My students come from a multitude of different cultural backgrounds, representing a diverse number of needs and experiences in my classroom. One thing all of my students have in common is the need to be believed in, the need to be encouraged, the need to be loved, and the need to be taught with high expectations.

The best way to encourage good reading habits and a love for reading is to provide a variety of books that are interesting to my students.

My students will be able to bridge the connections between the life experiences of others and themselves. These books will help them grow as independent readers, and gain confidence in their own reading choices. This project includes materials for students to work together to create, imagine, read, and discover.
