My Students
Our school is in the outermost area of our school district. The school was established in 1924. Our students work hard, although they lack a lot of experiences due to limited resources. With over 70% of our students free and reduce status, families are giving all they can give.
Even though our students have limited resources, they continuously meet high expectations. They have a strong work ethic, are extremely responsible, and most importantly demonstrate leadership and initiative. The students love to read and need more materials to do that!
My Project
How do you build lifelong readers? Give them more to read! By providing more books in the classroom libraries, students will be able to read more and more every day. They will be able to travel to far away places by simply opening a book.
We all know that to succeed in not only school, but in the life that reading is one of the most important fundamental skills that a child should have. Reading is everywhere, from the directions to a game to the billboard advertisement that we see daily. By providing these books, we are instilling the love of reading in our students.
