My Project
High School English is a great opportunity to broaden the reading a student does. As a part of the Santiago Reads program, my students read daily and complete a journal about their reading to discuss characterization, themes and/or rhetorical devices utilized by the author.
It is important to have a wide variety of novels, fiction and non fiction, that span many different genres and topics to provide my students with options and diverse learning experiences.
This project does just that! It provides students with options to choose from for their reading. As a part of the ordering process, I asked students to select books that they either wanted to read or that they recommended for their peers to make them a part of this project.
