Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of books in Spanish that my students love. My classroom is a DLI classroom that helps 60 kids learn Spanish and eases the transition of ELLs. All these books will help open doors that many of my students did not realize were there. It will help foster a love for learning, reading, and exploring different books.

Each book has been chosen according to students' levels and interests.

My students will read these books in my reading groups, read aloud, and independent reading. With these new books, my students will be able to select books that will allow them to read independently in Spanish at their own level. This will help them become bilingual and help them meet the goals of our dual language program.
