My Project

I want to redesign parts of our classroom to give my high school students a quiet and soothing reading nook that they can use. This is a huge undertaking and I hope that DonorsChoose can help. I will paint the classroom and use the rugs, bean bag chairs, and the bookshelf to make a student centered space that will encourage creativity and learning.

The students in our career and tech high school in Philadelphia have never had a place in a classroom where they could relax and read in a relaxing environment.

Our classroom walls are drab and gray, and I want to make it a colorful part of the space that could improve their mood, blood circulation, and stimulate their learning.

Having a classroom space where they could sit down on the floor, relax, stretch, and read would make their English class less stressful and more engaging. It would give them an opportunity to feel at home in the school.

Your donation, however small, can help our student get a chance to enjoy the school days and to get excited about attending class.
