This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of students who are eager to learn and curious about their surroundings. These children have a deep need to explore and learn many different things from books without having to leave the classroom. However because most of my children are at the poverty level, they don’t have access to many books.

I am an experienced teacher who is eager to help these students excel in education and in their personal lives.

I know how to work with this community of students because I was once one of them.

We, my students and I, work together every year to be the best version of ourselves. Through books, they learn about their emotions, how to be empathetic and to learn many other concepts. Having a variety of books will help us develop in all areas. Thank you for your commitment to public educational!!

My Project

New books and a place to display them will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that we strive to create. Our classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy. They choose their own books, share them with others and read independently! Every student book that is placed in our library is treated with love and care, and students are grateful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them read titles just like these, and I have also asked for the children input. Students will be able to choose books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time.

With new books, our students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read more and eagerly.
