My Students

My reading class students are exceptional readers and are reading beyond the grade level. My reading class is full of unique little readers who love getting lost in books. They love all different kinds of books.

They are interested in complex fiction books that makes them think, and they love exploring and learning different topics in nonfiction books.

These kids LOVE reading and getting themselves lost in books. My students also love to push themselves in reading harder and more challenging books.

My Project

Our classroom library could really use some books sorted by levels so my first graders can be responsible for reading at their levels. The students would love some new books to get their hands on during read to self time, and explore more challenging levels on their own.

Having these sorted books in our classroom gives my first grade friends the opportunity to choose their own independent reading books at their level, be encouraged to build their reading stamina, and love reading even more!

They know which levels they are on and this can also give them the opportunity to challenge themselves and read a book at the next level.
