Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Reading is your key to knowledge- help me provide a truly literacy rich environment for my kiddos. Reading lovers out there know the importance of exploring different genres can help students increase their reading comprehension. Please help!
My 36 awesome third grade students are predominately ELL learners, many of their parents are monolingual, they qualify for free lunch and come from poverty stricken homes.
Most of my students are below grade reading level and are working hard to reach their Common Core rigorous standards. We are Florida residents that need generous people to help us!
My Project
Scholastic News provides students with Non-fiction information about current events in the world and science. Scholastic Storyworks provides students with a variety of different genres to explore that can increase reading comprehension. These two resources are fabulous tools that can help ignite their love towards reading.
The future depends on our youth of today.
We need to invest our time and resources on preparing these children to compete in the world of tomorrow. I have faith in my third grader's ability to reach appropriate reading levels that can provide the key to academic success. They need inspiration, hope and the generosity of people like you. Please help me reach my goal!
