The town where I teach is very unique. We have students who come from all over the world due to military connections, as well as some who were born and raised right here. My students are all of mixed abilities, cultures, and backgrounds which makes it so exciting to have the opportunity to learn from them myself!
It is my hope that my students, who come from all corners of the country, have the opportunity to learn and thrive within the walls of my classroom.
Seventh grade is such a difficult yet exciting time in a student's academic career. Not only are they getting to learn about themselves as individuals, I truly believe that they are all learning how to be cooperative learners at this stage in school as well. As I get to know each and every one of them, I am excited to help them figure out what their passions are and how my class can help develop them.
My Project
My students LOVE the reading area that I have set up (mainly thanks to Donors Choose). I am yet again wanting more materials to expand the reading area to accommodate more students.
Reading is such a great activity to learn about the world, learn about events, escape to a fantasy land, or just relax and slow down for a moment!
Offering this reading space for my students has cultivated so many strong friendships not only with books and literature, but among each other. Please consider helping me bring more reading area to my classroom.
