My Students

I work at a low income, high poverty school. My students are grateful for the opportunities they are given, and we work hard to provide them with a rich, fulfilling experience that will carry them through to a lifetime of success.

My students are curious and eager learners who enjoy being a part of our changing world, especially in terms of technology.

I love seeing the students' faces light up each time I introduce something new to learn and discover from. My goal is to instill into each child the excitement of reading, as these students are all of our futures.

My Project

As a child, I loved to explore the world and my own imagination through reading. My goal is to foster the same love for literature in my students. My classroom is a perfect place for students to make new discoveries. My students are also required to engage in the AR program, which helps develop their literacy and comprehension skills. My students need new books to help foster their love for reading and learning! By having many different books to explore, my students can excel in this program and be exposed to different types of literature. When students are able to find a book that is "right" for them, they can make connections, grow in creativity, and develop a sense of pride.

My students' excitement for reading comes from their ability to find a book that they love.

The more books I can expose my students to, the more I believe they will learn to love literature.
