Books are not just for reading class! One of my passions is reading, and although I am a Math teacher, I want to pass that love on to my students. Not only that, with so much controversy surrounding books, it is more important than ever that students have a variety of books from which to choose that reflect their identities and experiences.
Encouraging reading in math shows that I encourage and support their other classes and teachers.
I am always looking to encourage and foster growth outside their math classroom. This year there has been an influx of students coming in with novels and I want to help provide that outlet which also encourages imagination! Math can be a safe and exploratory place that helps to incite your passion outside of it!
