Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach preschool students receiving special education services. They love learning, and they learn in many different ways. Some are very hands-on, others learn with music, and others can listen to a lesson and pick things right up. They need differentiated lessons to keep them learning and having fun at the same time.

My Project

I have a classroom full of students that love to look at books. My selection of holiday-themed books is low and I would love to be able to expand that collection. I like to have books that relate to holidays in the book nook when each holiday is approaching. The magazines are very important to me because they allow learning while reading. I have time each week that I can go over these in the classroom and then the students can take them home to tell their families all they learned in them. I have wanted these for a long time but it just isn't in my personal budget to get them for my students.
