My Students
My students are an energetic and curious bunch of kiddos! They come to school every day with smiles on their faces, eager to learn, despite some of the tough situations they come from. They are thrilled to learn and grow, every day, no matter what challenges they face in their home lives!
Our classroom is a community where the students can feel included, safe, and successful!
Access to hands-on learning materials is necessary for their success and engagement in their learning. They are so appreciative of the opportunities that they have to grow as a community of learners together in our classroom!
My Project
Phonics and sight words are two of the major building blocks when learning to read! My scholars would love to be able to use materials such as a Touch and Read Phonics to help them practice their decoding skills as well as Reading Comprehension practice cards to discuss stories that they read. My scholars love going to our listening and technology centers but many of our headphones are old and worn out so scholars would truly appreciate a new set of headphones for them to enjoy listening to many wonderful texts.

These words are so true for young learners who have plenty of amazing reading opportunities ahead of them. These scholars love to read and these materials will help fully engage them and give them hands on opportunities to practice honing their basic literacy skills such as decoding, reading sight words, and comprehension.
