My scholars, as we call our students, are a high energy group of 5, 6 and 7-year-old First Graders. My students love to come to school everyday to learn and have fun. Many of them have hard home lives and school is really a refuge for them; a place they can feel safe and loved. To them, school is a place that is consistent and meaningful and where they will be pushed to do their best, no matter their circumstances. We truly believe that ALL of our scholars have the capabilities to not only attend but also to graduate from college.

About my class
