Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The items in this project will continue to help my students in reading and learning about different topics. I encourage my students to read every day. I tell students they can read words, sentences, signs while riding in a car or on the bus and this will enhance their vocabulary and mind. Reading at least 10 to 15 minutes a day would definitely enhance their vocabularies.

My goal for this project is to enhance my students' knowledge in reading more about things that they have never heard of as well and things that they would like to know more about.

I plan to have students keep track of their reading and then reward them with a small snack. The wipes and mop will heIp keep out classroom germ-free. I have also requested markers so they can continue using their dry eraser boards to journal and take comprehension quizzes.

What make my students are special because they are a hard group of students that want to succeed and live in a low income community. Having these additional tools for reading with enhance their vocabulary and their comprehension. Again, I want my students to know that whenever they read, it will enhance their vocabulary.

I believe that the benefit of using these items would help my students to achieve passing scores on their reading assessments that are taken each year. Having the right tools will help students succeed and achieve a passing score and whichever goal that they are working towards to accomplish.
