My Project

I am in a new role this year, working as a middle school Reading Interventionist in Evanston, Illinois. My job is to engage students in reading and help them build their literacy skills. While I have a great classroom library, I do not have multiples of the books that we'd like to read in small groups. We need sets of high interest books to help my students practice their reading skills, increase their motivation, and develop a love for reading. I want them to see themselves as readers, and we need the right books to make that happen! For this project, I've selected award-winning texts that my students will love. I can't wait to read them together.
