Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to me with a variety of experiences from various backgrounds.

Many are new to the country. They are excited to learn and love utilizing technology as much as they can!

We are a Title I school in a low socioeconomic area in Nevada. A majority of our students are English language learners. 100% of students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Most students do not have computers at home or access to the internet.

My Project

These books will allow students to have something to read while they are home. They will be able to build their reading fluency and comprehension with a brand new book.

"Reading gives us someplace to go, when we have to stay where we are."

Students will be able to use these books for their book reports, literature circles, small groups, and for fun.

The only way to become a better reader is to read, read, read! Right now our students are stuck at home and need books more than ever!
