My Project

Fifth grade is a pivotal time in a child's life. They are not quite kids but not yet pre-teens or teenagers. It can be a difficult time socially, with lots of changes ahead. Reading is one of the ways that students can enhance this time of their lives.

These books specifically will help students find characters they can relate to, examine character interactions, and learn more about the world around them.

They take ownership and pride by allowing each student to have a copy of the text. They can have the experience of interacting with an on-grade-level text, whether they read on a fifth-grade level or not.
