Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our diverse group of students which includes, english as a new language students and special needs students, eagerly anticipates our annual reading celebration, where we honor their growth in reading skills. This year, we are thrilled to announce our theme: A Reading Fiesta. This Reading Fiesta promises an exciting and enriching experience for all participants, fostering a vibrant reading culture within the community. The Fiesta is designed to engage and delight participants of all ages, fostering a love for reading through various literacy activities that bring together students, educators, and families in a joyous celebration of books and storytelling.

The Reading Fiesta will play a vital role in developing and celebrating our students as readers by promoting a love for reading, enhancing reading skills, celebrating diversity through literature, and boosting confidence in their reading abilities.

To end the Reading Fiesta with piñatas would be awesome. A piñata adds a festive touch to the end of a reading fiesta, making it a fun and memorable way to celebrate the joy of reading and learning. It would also reward the students for their hard work they did this year and it would celebrate their accomplishments.
