My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I want to keep things simple and provide my students with a safe, creative and meaningful learning experiences while in the classroom.

My students are caring, respectful, hard working creative and very excited and engaged in learning while making connections to the 21st century.

My students work hard every day to show what they know and continue to grow in their learning and experiences.

My Project

This project will increase the books that are in my classroom library so that my students have a greater variety of interesting and popular books to read. My students are on many different levels and my classroom library needs some updating in some areas for students to be able to read the books independently.

My students will love adding these books to our classroom library for them to enjoy and read.

These books will be used for read alouds, independent reading, and small group readings. These books are a variety of reading levels and will help with comprehension, fluency, and accuracy.
