This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from Indiana, and they are a group of young children very interested in creating pleasant moments and knowing. They show interest and curiosity in reading. I have an idea to support my Kindergarten class in creating a reading corner in the classroom. Here they will find the comfort and diversity of books that motivates them to continue each day while maintaining their interest in reading.

My Project

As a Kindergarten teacher, I recognize the need to encourage my students to read. For this reason, I want to create a reading corner to practice reading appropriate to their age, practice phonetics and pronunciation. It is highly motivating for their capacities and maturity growth and development. A reading corner for children is a space intended for comfort, creativity, reflection, imagination, and most importantly, promote the habit of reading. The books will be used so that students have variety to be able to practice reading and develop their knowledge. The shelf will be used to organize the books so that the students can identify each one of them. The puzzles will be included in the project as a means of learning and fun.
