This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Did you struggle with your reading? My students do. If they have the story to read as well as listen too it, I think that it would be a step in making them better readers.
I work in a school where the students often do not have the basic resources they need at home.
At school I want to help all my students to feel successful in Reading. A listening center is another resource that they can use to feel successful. They are listening to someone read a story to them and can be successful at answering the questions about the story.
My Project
All students in my class will be successful at Reading and will be able to use every resource we have. The students will be able to read a story they choose. They will have to opportunity to rotate to this center. They will be able to listen to the story being read to them.
We all need to learn to read!
It might not be easy, but an individual listening center can be another resource to use in my classroom to help students be successful at what they need to do.
