Most of my students have never been to school or held a pencil before, which makes kindergarten a vital period of time in a student's development. Some of my students come from families that do not speak English and cannot afford technology in their homes. Coming to school is an exciting time for my kindergarten students. They get to use iPads and top-of-the-line school supplies. Making my students feel comfortable and well-prepared for academic success is important to me. I know they can succeed!
My Project
My super excited kindergarten students need hands-on reading center activities. Letter identification, phonics, and sounding out words are critical skills on the path to becoming a fluent reader.
Alphabet and sight word puzzles will help keep my students engaged and excited to practice their skills with their classmates.
Letter and CVC matching activities along with storage bags for books are vital to my students success. Having a classroom where students are encouraged to have fun while learning, feel confident, and comfortable aids in there success.
Kindergarten is the foundation of all learning skills. I love encouraging my students to learn!
