My Students

My first and second-grade students are hungry to learn, and I want to make sure they are able to receive the opportunities they deserve. Many of the children that come into my room struggle with sitting still and focusing. I teach second grade in a Title I school, where funding and access to technology and supplies are difficult to obtain. In the classroom, there are limited resources and tools to help these students succeed. I am also working in an environment where parent involvement is limited, so the more opportunities I can give, the better.

My Project

This project is to help engage students with literacy. I need a Teacher Pay Teachers gift card to help create literacy activities. I added decodable books to the list so the students can practice their phonics skills.

This year has been a challenge and this project is to help engage students in their reading work.

I also added sight word puzzles to help my students learn their sight words. My students in first and second grade have not been exposed during their virtual learning. Please consider giving to this project and helping give my students more exposure to reading materials.
