My Students
My students are fortunate to live in a community where diversity surrounds them. Our differences are what make our classroom an amazing place to come learn each day.
Each morning, 23 students walk through my door, ready to be shown what the world has to offer. They explore, challenge, and create new opportunities for themselves every day. My students are fortunate to live in a community where diversity surrounds them. They will grow and learn in an environment that celebrates their uniqueness, but also draws on their similarities.
My Project
As Joseph Addison's quote says, "Reading is to the mind, as exercise is to the body." In order to reach true and full potential, students need to be reading quality literature that they connect to. They need to see themselves in books, but also have the opportunity to be introduced to characters who can lead them places that they may never go. The books that fill shelves of my library need to be as magical as the students who read them.
By adding these wonderful titles and authors to my library, I will be able to provide my students with the opportunity to read endlessly.
