This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom of 21 energetic and brilliant young minds are in need of some essential reading and writing foundational materials. We are in need of bookshelves to house our books and complete our growing classroom library. Currently, our books are on a 3x4 shelf. Our class will also benefit from digital writing boards and magnetic writing paper during whole group instruction. This will save on paper and pencil during practice, but also provide students with the continued practice of fine motor skills with the digital pencil and writing board. As an educator, I will be able to model on the magnetic writing paper how they are to build a paragraph and practice their cursive. Writing is a large part of the 3rd grade curriculum and these tools will aid in my instruction.
