Our pizza oven playset was an instant hit as well. One memorable moment happened when a group of students worked together to take \"pizza orders,\" adding toppings like tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms with great seriousness. It turned into a spontaneous teamwork and language-development activity that I never could have planned better myself!\r\n\r\nYour generosity has allowed my students to learn through hands-on play, which is especially meaningful at this age. This project allowed for me to have higher level materials to help support learners of all abilities. \r\n The games allow them to have autonomy in their learning, in addition to their peers. After showing them how to play, the students love practicing and playing with one another. It is a great opportunity for them to share different points of view in their understanding. The figurative language match has been great for students to practice a previously learned skill with a kinesthetic activity. The technology helps make learning feel real and keeps the students engaged and asking questions. I use it regularly for literacy, science, math, and social studies lessons.\r\n\r\nFor example, I recently used the document camera to teach beginning letter sounds. I placed a small model fish under the camera, and the students were able to see it projected clearly as we worked together to identify the beginning sound \"f.\" Seeing the model up close while hearing and repeating the sound helped the students make a strong, lasting connection. The books are used daily for small group instruction and independent reading, providing meaningful practice while keeping students engaged.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the leveled texts, the privacy folders have made a noticeable difference during assessments and independent work time.
