This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

They say reading allows you to tour the world and experience life through the eyes of others simply by turning pages. My passion is reading and spreading my love of reading to my students is important to me. Every day I pour this love over my students. Coming from a low socio-economic status area, my students do not get the same opportunities and experiences with books as other children. When they come to school it is my job to make reading fun and show them that books yield endless possibilities. I have seen so much growth in my students and I want to continue to see that growth. You could be a part of changing my students lives through words and pages.

My Project

We are needing some new materials for reading and writing! We are asking for a variety of English and Spanish books so the students can have access to more titles in their interest. We are asking for some teacher books, too! These teacher books are full of great ideas and strategies to use with out students. We are asking for fun writing materials like the LED writer, dry erase boards and magnetic letters. We would love to add interest to writing as our students learn and grow. We are also asking for storage materials to help our students have better accessibility to increase independence. There are other activities that will be used for the students benefits. Our main goal is to increase their love of learning. These new materials will help us reach that goal!
