Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

These chairs will allow students to concentrate on their reading while at the same time calming their mind and body. My goal is to help encourage students to read more and increase their comprehension skills too. We are a Title 1 school and from a very small but very diverse city. My students definitely deserve some added comfort to my class library due to the fact that resources in my school district are very low. Many students are second generation Americans and come from situations where reading in some comfortable chairs is something they never experienced. Please help make reading fun again for my students!
