Your donation has already made a meaningful impact on my students' learning, especially in math and writing. The new markers, crayons, pencils, and highlighters have become essential tools in our daily skill-building lessons.\r\n In math, students have been using the new colored supplies to practice adding and subtracting decimals. They use colors to shade decimal grids, match place values, and visually compare their work. Having enough high-quality markers and crayons for everyone has made these lessons clearer and more accessible — especially for students who need visual connections to understand abstract concepts. One student even told me, \"Now I finally get decimals! The colors make it make sense.\" Moments like that are why your support matters so much.\r\n In writing, the highlighters have become a classroom favorite. Students now \"color-code\" their paragraphs by highlighting topic sentences, details, evidence, and conclusions in different colors. This visual structure has helped students who normally struggle with writing feel more organized and confident. \r\n Even the practical supplies — Kleenex and cleaning products — have helped us maintain a clean, healthy environment so students can focus on learning. With a busy group of 5th graders, these items are absolutely essential.\r\n We're now moving into the next steps of our math and writing units, where students will use these supplies to strengthen their skills even further. In math, students will continue modeling decimals, fractions, and multi-step problems using color-coded strategies. In writing, they'll begin a multi-paragraph piece where they'll highlight claims, supporting evidence, and transitions using the new highlighters.\r\n Your generosity didn't just provide supplies — it elevated the way my students learn. You helped make math clearer, writing more meaningful, and our classroom environment brighter and more organized.\r\n Thank you for believing in my students and giving them tools that truly make a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1756755805566,"projectUrl":"project/tools-to-learn-create-and-grow/9613745/","projectTitle":"Tools to Learn, Create, and Grow!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ferrise","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8429900"},{"teacherId":161996,"projectId":9484303,"letterContent":"Our students are so excited to use the materials for their writing. Having this organized space has made reading feel more inviting and enjoyable for my class.\r\n\r\nThe seat sacks have been a big help as well, even though we only had enough for a couple of students. The students who use them are learning how to keep their materials organized and within reach. It's been wonderful to see how something as simple as having their supplies close by helps them stay focused and ready to learn. The extra pencils were another great addition—my students use them every day, and having plenty of sharpened pencils available has reduced interruptions and kept learning time running smoothly.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students are working in a space that feels more comfortable, organized, and supportive of their learning.
