My students are special education scholars in grades 6-8. They are working on their English language skills in order to be successful in all of their classes.
Over the last two years, COVID has negatively affected their learning since they've been spending much less time actively at school.
My Project
Not unlike other students around the country, COVID has not benefitted my students. Through this project, I'm hoping to provide more engaging classroom activities and resources to support them in filling their learning gaps.
The language and math games are going to help motivate them and make the instruction fun.
Students love using individual whiteboards, so I'm planning on using that tool to increase student engagement. My project also includes some fidget toys that are going to help students focus on class, while satisfying their need to be moving. This project is going to help my students meet both their grade-level English and math standards.
