Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students work hard, love to learn, be creative, use hands-on math materials, and dive into the world of technology. I teach third grade in a Title I school, where many of the students come from low-income areas with their basic needs barely met.

I'd love to provide the best experiences in the classroom to help them prepare for the life ahead.

I need your help to give them everything they need to be successful in this world. They are the future! Thank you.

My Project

Every single thing that I picked in this project has a purpose and know that it will get used daily. Markers and white boards are something they use every day for math or grammar lessons. It is convenient they each have one in their buckets to keep transitions smoothly.

Post it notes are for the students to write motivational and happy thoughts to each other when we see them struggling emotionally.

Also to express their opinions and ideas by writing it in a post it note and sharing it with the rest of the class.

Books are to teach them how to treat others and how to recognize their emotions and what they can do in different scenarios. Also to motivate them to keep reading and have different kinds of books in our classroom library that they will be interested in.

STEM toys are for them to discover and learn how things work and use their imagination.

Phonics tools and games are to help my struggling readers in small groups be better and help them feel confident about becoming a better reader and develop a love for reading.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
