it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Welcome back to school! I am very excited to be starting a new school year in three weeks. Our school population is high with ELL students and I want to provide a fabulous well-stocked classroom full of new and exciting things for the students have to best environment possible for learning.
Targeting kids' specific needs in smaller groups is extremely important to me and my room is in need of some resources to make it more successful.
It's easier for teachers to help students reach more standards by being able to work with kids at the same level a few at a time. This is all dependent upon having many wonderful resources for multiple learning styles and levels, especially for my ELL students.
My Project
A high percentage of my students are English Learners so all of these activities will allow me to reach many different individual levels of students in both Math and Language Arts. Some of the activities will allow me to be in small groups so I can focus on their individual needs while other students are working on playing games and working with a partner, other important first grade skills.
Students will be able to benefit from the Language Arts activities, by building basic phonics skills, blending and creating words and then using their writing to transfer what they've created into journals.
