My students come from very diverse backgrounds, and I am excited to learn with them this year. We were recently hit by Hurricane Harvey, and many of my students are still facing struggles. Many are still homeless, but keeping very high spirits.
Creative, thoughtful, and adventurous are a few words to describe them.
We love being active, engaged, and learning with an open mind. They like challenges because it keeps them on their toes and keeps their minds imaginative.
Without my students, learning would not be possible for me either; they teach me new ways to think every day, as well. I am looking forward to the new adventures we will embark on this year.
My students love reading, especially when they can follow along by themselves. We participate in stations every day for all subjects. My students do not have a working listening station right now, and we do not have any headphones. If this project gets funded, we would be very appreciative.
Listening is the main object of reading.
In order for my students to be able to read, they need to listen how a word is pronounced and used. They are very curious at this stage in life, and with the help of this listening station, I know they will succeed for years to come!
