Do you love to read about scary places? Our students do! Our school library really needs updating on our books. I am requesting books about scary stories in the different states. We already have the first set, and now I am requesting the 2nd set. Our students are begging for them. I can not keep books like these on the shelves in our library. Students come in groups to check them out and switch with one another. The library only gets a small amount of money for books a year. Getting new books will help excite our students to read more.
Reading brings a whole new world to a child.
Getting these books will help my students reach their Accelerated Reader goals that are set each year school wide. Reading more books has really helped our students in their reading fluency and reading skills. Our students also use reading for a mental break to jump into a new world through books.
