Help me give my students nonfiction books. These books will help them learn about the animals that peek their interest.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The majority of my third-grade students come from low-income single parent homes. Unfortunately, many of the parents are uneducated and not able to help their children develop reading skills. On the first day of school, more than 90% of the students that entered my classroom were not reading at a third-grade level. These students are hard working and goal oriented, they just need reading materials that will help them to develop the reading skills they need in order to achieve their academic goals.
My students are part of a T.E.A.M.
because we believe that Together Everyone Achieves Mastery. At the end of the year, my third graders must pass an online state test in order to go to fourth grade. My students do not come to school with a love a literacy. I know that by incorporating different genres into our daily literacy lessons my students will reach their goals, and become third-grade readers.
My Project
By getting these new exciting books in our classroom, it will help my students become grade level readers. Not only are students receiving new books to read and explore, they are also getting the wonderful gift of literacy. Books like, "Ultimate Oceanpedia," "Nat Geo Wild Animal Atlas Earth's Astonishing Animals and Where," and "Everything You Need to Know About Frogs and Other Slippery" will help students develop a love for science and social studies while reading these interesting texts. Once students begin to enjoy reading nonfiction books, their academic confidence will grow exponentially.
These books will hopefully help many young children learn to love to read.
The books I am asking for will positively impact each child's reading fluency and proficiency. I believe, with new books in our classroom, my third grade students will stop being labeled as struggling readers and will continue to strive to become better readers. New classroom books would allow more opportunities for my students to be engaged in reading. Since they are below grade level, having a range of leveled books available to them will increase their opportunity to read and enhance their interest. What a great way to learn about poison dart frogs through pictures that allow students to visualize the world around them. The more I can get a book in their hands the more I can insure they will become better readers and reach proficiency. My students need to have every opportunity to be engaged in reading. These books will allow my lowest level readers to have access to amazing books at their reading level.
