My Project

While I primarily teach beginning band, middle school band, high school band, and other music electives, I also spend time with some of the elementary music students. Sometimes at a moment's notice; other times by design. Sometimes I have to be gone and there is not a music substitute to be found.

That's where these books come in to play.

Having a nice variety of music books about instruments, world music, music of other cultures, music history, musicians with disabilities, music activities, and more will help me give last minute fun and easy lessons that can be taught and carried out by anyone who needs to step into my classroom in my place. Even if they have no idea how to conduct a band, or connect with middle school students, or even how to sing a song! Books are universal to all students, and having a good representation is key to keeping their attention.
