My students need 25 copies each of "Henry and Mudge under the Yellow Moon" and "Henry and Mudge and the Big Sleepover", with single copies of 7 additional books by Cynthia Rylant.

"I teach 2nd grade at a wonderful Title One Elementary School in Northern California. The school population is mostly lower-middle class families. Approximately fifty percent of our students are English language learners with academic abilities ranging from Gate to special needs. This is my second year teaching second grade and I desperately need to create a library that the children will love to visit. I would like to create an author's corner with a collection of authors that the children will love, encouraging them to read, read, and read some more. Cynthia Rylant is an amazing author of children's books. The characters are an enjoyable collection of boy and his dog and the female cousin and her cat; who have amazing life experiences. The children will not only enjoy reading these books, but will learn how the characters handled daily issues that they also experience. I am requesting two classroom sets of these books; as well as a collection of these books written at various reading levels. Having the books at different reading levels will allow all my students the opportunity to read and enjoy these books. Please help my children learn to love to read with this amazing collection of books. I hope this will be the first of many collections of books for our Author's corner.
