Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a small K-5 school that opened its doors just this year! We departmentalized 4th and 5th grade so I get to teach about 100 students everyday! We call ourselves "Innovators" which truly describes our students.

My children are active, hard working, and creative.

They are eager to learn and their enthusiasm is truly contagious! I have such a caring group, and they have created an environment that is safe and inclusive at our brand new school. All of my students, from all four classes, strive for excellence every single day.

My Project

We have been reading "A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning" in class this year. I was able to get a class set of this book at Goodwill, but we are now done with it! I have only one copy of the Reptile Room, which is the second book of the series. I will read it aloud since I only have one copy, but I would love to have the students follow along with me or be able to read the book with a partner.

My students are always looking forward to hearing about the adventures of the Baudelaire children, the protagonists of this series, and with your help, we can start our classroom collection!

Our goal is to get 15 copies of the first four books in the series, and with your help we can make this happen!
