Readers Becoming Leaders

Help me give my students an updated library with culturally relevant, holiday-specific, and high-interest books. I would like a library that captivates my students and motivates them to read.

My Project

With it being my 3rd year teaching, I have had many books in my classroom library handed down to me. Sadly, many of the books are now damaged, worn, and outdated.

I am looking to increase my student's interest in books in our classroom library.

I have requested culturally relevant, holiday-specific, and high-interest topics, and series for books.

This year my students are absorbing books and loving to read. I am so grateful. However, many students are asking when I am going to update our classroom library.

There are statistics about young students and the impact reading has on their future. I do not want my students to become a statistic. We want to defy the odds and push ourselves to be the absolute best we can be.

I have told my students about this project and have gotten their input on some of the books they would like to see in our classroom library. We are hoping that with your help you can make our classroom reading dreams come true!!

This is why we say...Readers become leaders! Please help my students keep their reading interests, and help them grow to become the best they can be. Any donation to this project would be greatly appreciated.
