My kindergarten students get most of their exposure to high quality picture books at school. Many of them may only have a few books at home--if any! My goal is to give them access to as many books as possible to expand their learning and their love of reading.
While a reading curriculum teaches them reading skills, a classroom library teaches them to love reading.
This project allows me to make our classroom library more organized, accessible, and inclusive to my students with bins, cubbies, and new books. By having a classroom library that they take pride in, they will learn to love reading even more.
