My Students

I am an educational specialist (special education teacher) who wants nothing more than to give my students the best educational experience! My students are phenomenal and inspiring young people for many reasons, but what makes them extra exceptional is that, despite any personal hardship they may face, they continue to show up every day with high aspirations and efforts in their learning.

All students, especially those who have special needs, deserve access, materials, and experiences that provide them with the support and confidence they need to excel and achieve at their highest potential.

I want to be the teacher that does more than prepare her achievers with academic skills to excel in the world. I aim to teach the mind and touch the heart in ways that inspire my students to go out in their communities to make positive changes that will make their communities better places for everyone.

My Project

I work with amazing achievers with unique needs who need books at their reading level to build critical reading skills as well as to foster confidence and love for reading. I have readers who are committed to taking their reading skills to the next level, but I am in short supply of leveled books to support their desire for growth.

I am in desperate need of leveled high-interest children's books that will feed my readers' hunger for books that will peak their interest, inspire joy in reading, and plant the seed for social activism.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
