Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to foster a love of reading in my students.

Every month I encourage each classroom teacher to choose a Reader Leader for the previous month.

This student can be recognized for any achievement pertaining to reading. It may be reaching a reading goal, being caught reading independently, sharing a favorite story with a classmate or just being a student who is always happy to read!

The chosen Reader Leader receives a printed certificate with their name and a quote from their teacher on why they are receiving the award and also a silicone bracelet to proudly wear and show they were recognized as a LGE Reader Leader.
