My students need books to read! As of right now, there are no books in the classroom for the children to read. We need a carpet to sit on during circle time.

My Students

Mackay's Mighty Musketeers are excited to begin their thrilling year of learning in first grade. Since I teach at a full Title One school most students cannot afford school supplies. 100% of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Even though my students face hardships every day, they come to school happy and with a great desire to learn.

We may not have much materially but we do have the willingness and strength to develop a successful future.

Excitement and eagerness set the tone for these students as we start our journey into first grade.

My Project

We are looking forward to having books in the classroom. As of right now there are no books for the children to read in class. Since the children have different interests and levels, we are hoping to get a variety of books to meet their needs.

By donating you will provide a resource for the children to practice their reading skills on the path to becoming confident readers.

We could also use storage bins to keep our books and math supplies readily accessible to all students. When working together for a whole group lesson the children have no comfortable place to sit. We would like a carpet to sit on while learning.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
