My Students
I look forward to heading to school each morning, I know that I will find smiling, loving children who are eager to get started expanding their knowledge. They are like sponges and are always asking challenging questions that keep me on my toes.
My student are amazingly strong, creative individuals, with the desire to learn anything they can be taught.
They are great at collaborating and communicating with each other and can persevere through the toughest challenges.
I have a very mixed demographic of students. Most of my students' parents work either in the oil fields or the factories that surround us. Because of the type of work my students' parents due to most of my students either go to after-school care or home alone where they must fend for themselves.
They love to please everyone and love to learn. Because of their backgrounds, I often find they crave attention and the desire to do hands-on activities that they don't get the chance to do at home. I am very blessed to work with these fun, loving, and highly intelligent group of 4th graders. We love, laugh, and learn a lot from each other.
My Project
We are building a brand new S.T.E.M. program at our school. These books will provide a literacy connect to the STEM lab and also provide valuable lessons to help learn lessons involving S.T.E.M.
These books will teach the students how to be problem solvers, and other valuable life lessons.
They will use the problems that are presented in the book to launch the investigations that they will do in the STEM lab.
Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking will be the main focus of our curriculum. The goal will be to create future problem solver, with the desire to tackle the problems that life throws at them.
